Usually I do not comment publicly about things I read in the local press. I have decided to provide some clarification on a couple of issues discussed at the Jan. 12 School Board meeting that were mentioned in a letter to the editor in the Rappahannock News [Letters, Jan. 21]. At the Jan. 12 meeting the School Board decided to wait until a later date to determine if there are sufficient funds to pay a volunteer wrestling coach. The board also agreed with my recommendation to not move forward with having preliminary drawings made for repaving the RCHS parking lot until we are able to determine if there are sufficient funds to do so.
