Sperryville Volunteer Rescue Squad members very much appreciate the supportive article in last week’s paper, encouraging new volunteers for the county fire and rescue services. We would like to stress that all the fire and rescue companies went all out to help county residents in the snow emergency. What SVRS members did was just one example of what all the other companies were doing all week. All the fire and rescue companies were working together as a team to keep our communities safe and provide quality emergency care. This obviously requires a great deal of effort, and the companies need the support and volunteer participation of as many members of the community as possible. Please call your community’s fire and/or rescue company to see how you can help, make a difference and give back!
