Thank you for running The Rapp article about meat donations to the pantry. We would have acknowledged the donors then but only learned their names the day the newspaper appeared. I would like to thank them here.
The pantry received nine hogs, five lambs, and a goat, donated by the following:
Lileemzo Farm, Midland, donated the goat.
Culpeper Salvage, Culpeper; H&R Block, Brandy Station; Mark and Robin James, Culpeper; Melanie Mervis and Robin Bolt, Lignum; Michael Brown, Reva; and Rappahannock Hunt, Reva, each donated a hog. Kids Central, Culpeper, donated two hogs.
Don Carlson, Brightwood, and K.C. Johnson & Son, Nokesville, each donated a lamb. Ebenezer Heights Greenhouses, Culpeper, donated two lambs.
Wise Services & Recycling, Culpeper, donated a hog and a lamb.
I am especially grateful to Oliver Brown and his son, Michael, for initiating the effort. Without them it wouldn’t have happened.
