For the annual DARE Day expo at Rappahannock County Elementary School, the Sheriff’s Office’s Drug Abuse Resistance Education organizers put together a well-attended mix of law-enforcement demonstration and education booths, fire and rescue displays and plain old fun and games – the latter including Headwaters’ egg walk, above.
At least two young attendees were happy to demonstrate their peace-sign sunglasses. Organizers said the dunk tank and Virginia Airborne Search and Rescue’s helicopter were among the day’s most popular stops for kids and families.
