September’s welcome change in the weather was expected to accompany a welcome reopening of the Thornton River bridge in Sperryville. A VDOT spokesman told us Tuesday that it would be – by the end of this week. Or Monday, at the latest. “We are working as fast as we can to get it completed and get it open,” he said.
