In reference to the Rappahannock News’ Oct. 11 lead article [“Board declines benefits advice”], is there anyone in the county that actually was surprised by the school board’s decision? Now the board will form its own committee, unencumbered, I’d bet, by having to seat any non-school-related persons. That will give them a recommendation that better suits the board’s wishes. Taxpayers, watch your wallets.
