Wayne Woodward of Quality Tree Service had the best perch in Little Washington Saturday afternoon as he put hundreds of little lights on one very big tree in the yard of the new White Moose Inn on Main Street.

Woodward and crew spent more than five hours outfitting the 75-foot tree with a permanent set of lights. The tree’s lighting will be part of the tomorrow’s Christmas in Little Washington parade and festivities.

But will the show go on? The sheriff and county administrator, along with Washington Mayor John Sullivan, say as of Saturday evening that it’s on — pending one more check on the the forecast at 7 a.m. Sunday.

Predictions for Sunday are for snow in the morning — with sleet and/or freezing rain not expected to begin until afternoon.
