Sarah and Jim Wildasin open the doors of Montpelier in Sperryville to host a fundraising supper for Belle Meade School from 5 to 8 p.m. Built in 1746 by Francis Thornton, the grand house overlooks the Blue Ridge and scenic F.T. Valley, which itself heralds Thornton’s legacy with his initials on road signs from Sperryville to Madison. Belle Meade’s “country casual” dinner on the grounds includes music by Dontez Inferno and a menu by chef Sylvie Rowand with foods from Belle Meade Farm and local wines, plus tours of the restored house and barns.
