Pennsylvania-based bluegrass band Remington Ryde performs at 8 at the Theatre in Washington (291 Gay St.), with Ryan Frankhouser on guitar and lead vocals, Billy Lee Cox on banjo, Dan Stewart on mandolin and Wally Yoder on bass. The Seventh Virginia Infantry Regiment, Company A, presents its annual 24-hour Vigil at Fairview Cemetery in Culpeper. The event begins at 10 a.m. Saturday and ends at 10 a.m. Sunday. During the vigil, Confederate reenactors guard the mass Confederate grave in half-hour shifts. During the late afternoon Saturday and Sunday morning, the names of the soldiers buried there will be read. Short closing ceremony at 10 a.m. Sunday. Nearly 600 Confederate soldiers who died at the Culpeper Confederate Hospital are buried at the Fairview Cemetery site. The public is invited to visit with the reenactors and attend the event.
