Essay winners
At a ceremony held recently at the Culpeper Methodist Church, the United Daughters of the Confederacy, Culpeper Chapter #73, announced the winners of their 2008 essay contest. From left, front row, are Karl Palenkas, Desire Aylor, Annsely Rider; middle row, Chris Payne, Anneslise Kyle, Brooke Libke, Johannah Klein; back row, Audrey Spear and Robert Yowell. Not present were Caroline Massey, Tor and Conner Mowatt-Larssen and Whitlee Matheny.
