Flint Hill Pentecostal Church, Aileen Road (off Fodderstack Rd.), Flint Hill, will host a Hymn Sing on Saturday, Aug. 23 at 7 p.m. For more information call 540-636-2497.

Gid Brown Hollow Pentecostal Church, Washington will host a Hymn Sing on Saturday, Sept. 6 at 11 a.m. The guest speaker will be Jack Campbell of Stanley, Va., and the Bourne family band from Gordonsville, Va. Lunch will be served at noon under the tent at the church. Come and bring a covered dish, dessert and a drink and enjoy a day in the country. For more information call 540-635-5721.

Registration is open for the 3rd Women In Worship Conference on Sept. 26-27 in Fredericksburg at the Hospitality House and Conference Center (formerly Holiday Inn). Check-in begins on Friday, Sept. 26 at 12 noon and an EXPO featuring vendors and mini-informational sessions. The conference is sponsored by Wayland Blue Ridge Women's Auxiliary and Friends. The early bird registration is open until Aug. 22. Guest speakers are Cynthia Brazelton, Victory Christian Ministries, Rev. Tammie Armstead Pulliam and Rev. Janice Steels, Victory in Christ Ministries. Musical guests include Missy 'OCTAVIA' Yates and Psalmist Eric Armstead. The three churches on the Rappahannock United Methodist Charge will celebrate a special "Blessing of the Children" on Sunday, Aug. 24 during regular worship times (Flint Hill 8:45 a.m., Willis Chapel 9:55 a.m., Sperryville 11:30 a.m.). Children, as well as teachers, bus drivers, and others school personnel, will be offered anointing and a special blessing as they prepare to go back to school. Forest Grove Church invites everyone to join in an outdoor contemporary service on Sunday, Aug. 31 at 11 a.m. The service will take place at the Forest Grove Ministries and Activities Center at the Old School House Grounds. The service will be outside with a new pavilion that has been erected. The worship experience will include contemporary worship led by The Crosstones and mass communion will be celebrated.
The area will be flooded with the sound of thunder as over 200 members of the Christian Motorcyclists' Association will be sending representatives from their Richmond and Front Royal chapters, as well as other motorcyclist's which are invited to attend. Everyone is welcomed to participate.
There will be a meal available for donations after the service at 2 p.m. The Crosstones, the Forest Grove Church's own contemporary Christian band, will present a concert.

F.T. Baptist Church invites everyone to its homecoming service on Sept. 7 at 11 a.m., followed by a potluck lunch. Take a left on Slate Mills Rd., the church is located on the left, 3143 Slate Mills Rd., Sperryville.

A new Bible Study called "Jesus in the Gospels" begins in Flint Hill on Sunday, Sept. 21 from 3 to 5 p.m. This study is hosted by the Rappahannock United Methodist Charge. Call 675-3370 for more information and to reserve a study guide. People from all denominations are welcome.


F. T. Baptist Church will have its dedication service for a new installed pipe organ on Sunday, Oct. 26 at 2 p.m.. There will be an organ demonstration, and several performers.
