Rappahannock County sheriff's deputies were summoned to the home of Sonny Lee Streightiff for a domestic dispute, according to Sheriff Connie Compton Smith. On July 26, Streightiff, 20, of 1969 Zachary Taylor Highway allegedly assaulted his brother, Charles Streightiff and mother, Patricia Abila, according to Smith.

Sonny Lee Streightiff was arrested that day and charged with assault and battery on family or household member, Smith said. The warrants were obtained by Deputy Angela Deavers. Sonny Lee Streightiff was arrested by Sgt. Charles Moore.

All parties involved in the incident reside at the same location on Zachary Taylor Highway, according to Smith
