In the Washingtonian Magazine, August 2002, Jim Bill Fletcher was quoted about Rappahannock County: "The main thing the County has to offer is its beauty. If you destroy the beauty, you destroy the principal asset, which is not orchards or cattle."

Jim Bill was well liked and respected in the County and I think the quotation says it all.
