There will be an Old Fashioned Sunday afternoon cover dish at 3 p.m., on May 18, at the Reager School, beside the church in Huntly. Special music and hymn sing. This is a benefit for the restoration of Willis Chapel United Methodist Church. Donations are appreciated. On Thursday, March 28, the inside of the church was destroyed by a furnace explosion. The congregation thanks God everyday that the building did not burn. They have major clean up. Service Master has worked everyday since the first of April. The explosion destroyed drapes, blinds, benches, alter furniture, organ and the piano - not to mention all of the smaller items, such as choir robes, costumes, and lots of music. They were left without even a hymnal. Some things can be cleaned, but some cannot. They have insurance, but will be left with many expenses. The congregation and friends in the county have been very supportive. Please invite a friend and join them, May 18, for a celebration of Gods love at Willis Chapel.
