Wild for turkeys?

Come to the First Annual Hunting Heritage Banquet

at the Link in Sperryville

Are you interested in the conservation of Wild Turkey and Wild Turkey Habitat, Hunting and/or celebrating the Heritage of Hunting? Well the Aaron Mountain Strutters and the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) is sponsoring the First Annual Hunting Heritage Banquet on Saturday, May 24, at 6 p.m.

The night will be full of door prizes, a buffet dinner, live and silent auctions for limited edition wildlife prints, sculptures and other items. Special raffles will be carried on throughout the night for an arrangement of outdoor gear.

All the money raised in the event will be put back into the NWTF funds. What exactly does that mean? The NWTF is a non-profit organization that helps and supports wildlife conservation and perseverance of the hunting tradition. The NWTF will then use the money to help the conversation of wildlife here in the Rappahannock community.

Admission into the banquet is $50 per person, $70 per couple and $20 for Jakes (which is children 17 and under). The admission fee covers the dinner and includes a one year membership to the NWTF and a subscription to Turkey Call magazine. For those who would like to sponsor the event, those tickets are available too. Tickets must be purchased early to insure a seat!

For further information and tickets call Glenn Tharp (President) 540-229-0083, Frank Huff (Treasurer) 540-222-8103, or Darryl Jenkins (Committee Member) 540-364-9104. You can also visit the NWTF website for more information www.nwtf.org
