Boston best wishes

Congratulations and best wishes for many more years goes out to Mrs. Ruby Spicer who recently celebrated her 97th birthday, with a party which was held at the Warrenton Overlook Center.

Her children, cousins, and friends were present for this special occasion.

Mrs. Cathy Dunn returned home on Friday, following surgery in the University of Virginia Hospital.

Mr. and Mrs. James Kelchner of Winchester were Monday guests of Mr. and Mrs. James Jenkins.

Condolences go out to Mrs. Michael Williams and family upon the tragic deaths of her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Manuel Nicholson of Reva Way, which occurred on Friday. Also sympathy is extended to three sisters and families in our area, Mrs. Lillian Jenkins, Mrs. Shirley Dodson and Mrs. Betty Keys upon the passing of their sisters, Mrs. Annie Jenkins, passing away on Friday and Mrs. Mary Gentry on Sunday.

Sympathy is extended to Mrs. Shelvy Frazier of Castleton Ford Road upon the passing on Tuesday of her nephew, Larry Clatterbuck, who was laid to rest in Amissville on Saturday.

Mrs. Charles R. Thomas of Baltimore was a weekend guest of Mrs. H. C. Racey.

Mrs. Janet Peregory returned to her home on Castleton Ford Road on Monday, following a nine day stay in Fauquier Hospital.

Our prayers are with Mrs. Carol DeBorak who undergoes surgery on Tuesday.

Evangelist Barbara Robinson of Calvary Baptist Church, Manassas was guest speaker for "Mother's Day" Womens Missions at Cannon Baptist Church of Reva Way.

Miss Brenda Frazier, accompanied by this writer, were Sunday afternoon guests of Mrs. Holtzman Frazier on Mosby Street, Fredericksburg.

Mrs. Carolyn Friglaid of Fairfax visited with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Peyton of Clover Acres on Sunday.

Daniel A. Knick was commissioned Second Lieutenant in the Army Reserve Training Corps on Friday, the exercises being held at Vanderbilt University in Knoxville, Tenn., where Lt. Knick took his training. He is a nephew of this writer.

Belated wedding anniversary wishes go out to Mr. and Mrs. Bill Johnson, who celebrated their day on Thursday.

Wedding anniversary wishes for the week go out to James and Mary Ann Dodson, Cliff and Renee Racey, James and Diane Frazier and Jim and Nina Peyton.

A reminder to dog owners in our area, there will be a Rabies Clinic at the Rappahannock Animal Shelter at the landfill in Amissville on Saturday, May 24, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information call the clinic at 540-937-3283.

Congratulations goes out to Rappahannock Elementary students from our area, who have made the Honor Roll, including Jessica Shaw, Shelby Thornhill, Miranda Shaw, Madeline Kopjanski and Sarah Thornhill. Keep up the good work!
