An easy way to give

The Rappahannock Lions Club has developed an amazingly easy and efficient way for Rappahannock citizens – and anyone else for that matter – to support our fire and rescue squads. The Lions’ project is outlined in today’s letter to the editor from Jim Blubaugh.

Simply put, the Lions’ website now has a way for us to shop at Amazon, Macy’s, Office Depot and four other sites, and have part of our purchases come back to the County. To use it, simply go to the Lions website (www.RappahannockLions.org) and click on the page titled "Support Our Community".

Any time that we enter one of the seven merchants through the Lion site, our purchases earn an average of four percent that comes back to the Lions Club. And the Lions have pledged that every cent of the proceeds will be distributed to the County fire and rescue squads.

Rappahannock County is known for its charitable nature. This newest effort by the Lions is a painless way for us to support critical community services, and we should all partake of it. Bookmark the page on your computer, and remember to use it.
