Luke Bedortha graduates from military police training

 Private Luke Bedortha, a 2006 graduate of Rappahannock County High School, graduated from basic 2nd Specialized Military Police Training at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., on Sept. 25.

He was a member of the 14th Military Police Brigade, 787th Battalion, Alpha Company, 1st Platoon Vipers, U.S. Army.

Bedortha went through 19 weeks of basic 2nd Specialized Military Police Training.

He is the son of William and Edie Bedortha of Woodville and brother of Billy Bedortha and family of Flint Hill.

He is the grandson of Lorene Dwyer of Sperryville and Ellen Bedortha of Salem, Ore., and great-grandson of Gene Smith of Elgin, Ore.

After spending some time with his family he will be assigned to the 18th Military Police Brigade, 709th Battalion, 92nd Military Police Company, Baumholder, Germany.
