Thornhill-Dickson to wed
David and Birgitt Thornhill, of Boston, Va., announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Thornhill, to Michael Dickson.Ms. Thornhill is the grand-daughter of Gordon and Sally Thornhill of Boston, Va., and Edith Steinfatt, of Richmond and Peter Steinfatt, of Kitty Hawk, N.C.
Ms. Thornhill is a landscape architect in Raleigh, N.C.
Michael Dickson is the son of Jan and Steve Dickson of Raleigh, N.C.
His grandparents are Florence Becker and the late Charles Becker, from Raleigh, originally from New York and the late Jim and Norma Dickson from Durham, N.C.
He is an industrial designer working in Cary, N.C.
A fall 2009 wedding is planned. The couple will reside in the Raleigh/Cary area when married.
