Police and court report
Simon Pound, 41, of Boston, Va., formerly director of dining services at the Inn at Little Washington, has paid a $25 fine for public drunkenness.
The offense stems from an incident on Aug. 19 in which a woman – Camille Freeborn of Castleton – was taken to Winchester Hospital after being injured in an automobile accident preceding the arrival of fire and rescue personnel on the scene at the employee parking lot of The Inn at Little Washington.
An investigation by the Sheriff's office is ongoing; however no charges are pending.
In a statement to the Rappahannock News, Rachel Hayden – director of marketing at The Inn at Little Washington – said: "Mr. Pound was relieved of his duties at The Inn at Little Washington on Wednesday, August 20. We are pleased to learn that Ms. Freeborn is at home and doing well."
In addition to the $25 fine, Pound paid $71 in court costs.
