Obituary

Mary L. Long

Died April 21, 2008

Native of Rappahannock County

Mary Louise Long, 92, of Bloomsburg, PA., and formerly of Arlington, Va., died on April 21 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA.

She was born Jan. 15, 1916 in Rappahannock County, daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Lou (Ashby) Corbin.

Mrs. Long was a 1935 graduate of Washington High School, in Washington, VA., and was valedictorian of her class. She also graduated from Strayer's Business College, Washington, DC.

She was the resident manager of Hilltop House, Marlaine and South Marlaine apartment complexes in Arlington, for over thirty years, retiring in 1990 when she moved to Bloomsburg.

Surviving are a daughter, Paula I. Henry, a brother, Frank B. Corbin, and one grandson.

Mrs. Long is deceased by her husband, Joseph Paul Long .

Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 25, at noon in Old Rosemont Cemetery, Bloomsburg, PA. There will be no viewing.
