Thelma P. Colvin

Died May 5, 2008

Amissville resident

Thelma Pearl Colvin, 88, of Amissville, VA died May 5, at Countryside Assisted Living at Madison, VA.

She was born Nov. 6, 1919 in Warrenton, VA a daughter of the late Wilbur Bywaters and Ethel Edwards Bywaters. Colvin.

At the time of her death, she was the oldest member of the Amissville United Methodist Church where she had been a member for many years singing in the choir and participating in the United Methodist Women.

She is survived by her children, James William Colvin, Erva Lee Stover both of Amissville, Carol Ann Embrey of Goldvein, VA, Phyllis Ann Judd and William Mort Colvin both of Amissville, VA; 12 grandchildren, 24 great- grandchildren and six great- great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Mort

The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Moser Funeral Home, 233 Broadview Ave., Warrenton, VA

A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 9, at 1 p.m. at Amissville United Methodist Church by Rev. Ned S. Van Dyck, Rev. M. Peyton Embrey and Pastor J. R. Judd. Interment in the church cemetery.
