Native of Rappahannock
Annie D. "Nana" Jenkins, 67, of Manassas, VA died May 2, at the INOVA Fairfax Hospital.
She was born October 5, 1940 in Rappahannock County, VA a daughter of the late Milton Henry Dodson, Sr. and Vinnie Florence Clarke Dodson.
Mrs. Jenkins was a secretary for Prince William County Public Schools serving for over 34 years at the Marsteller Middle School in Manassas. She was a member of the Woodville Baptist Church at Woodville, VA.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Bobby Jenkins; her two daughters, Brenda A. Jenkins of Manassas and Cynthia G. (Cindy) Jenkins and her husband Billy of Lignum, VA; and two grandchildren.
Additional survivors include two brothers, Milton H. Dodson, Jr. of Manassas and John R. Dodson of Catlett, VA; five sisters, Mary Frances Gentry of Manassas, Lucille D. Atkins of Culpeper, VA, Lillian D. Jenkins of Boston, VA, Betty D. Keys and Shirley D. Dodson both of Slate Mills, VA.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother- William B. Dodson and a sister Barbara D. Berry.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 6, at Moser Funeral Home chapel with Rev. M. Peyton Embrey and her nephew, Rev. Michael Dodson officiating the service. Interment followed in Fairview Cemetery, Culpeper, VA officiated by Rev. Sandy Martin.
