The most wonderful time of the year
The Town of Washington hosted its annual Christmas potluck supper on Sunday evening in historic Town Hall. Judging from the size of the festive crowd a good many of the town’s 135 residents and guests were in attendance, most attired in Yuletide shades of red and green
Town residents and guests shared scrumptious dishes that included Virginia country ham, southern fried chicken, beef tenderloin, meatballs, shrimp, deviled eggs, potato casserole, macaroni salad, cakes and pies.
Other dignitaries making merry were Supervisors Roger Welch and Chris Parrish, Vice Mayor Mary Ann Kuhn, Town Treasurer Gail Swift, Council members Katharine Leggett, Brad Schneider, and Joseph Whited, former Washington Mayor John Fox Sullivan and his wife Beverly (who received gifts from Santa and Mrs. Claus), and Businesses of Rappahannock president Theresa Wood.
