letter of intent2-story.jpg

Can't remember if I told her

though I'm certain that she knew

how much we appreciated

all the trouble she went to

She made each occasion special

Not once did she forget

a holiday or birthday

To her I am in debt

There were Christmases and Easters

She gave us candies, gave us toys

Said that we could raise a racket

But never called it noise

Upon my graduation

She bought my cedar chest

and in it she put hope and love

those things that she did best

She gave what she was able

Did whatever she could do

Forever I'll appreciate

all the trouble she went to
