Sunday night at Eldon Farms about 500 people gathered — every one of them masked and six feet apart.  The music was spectacular, the rhetoric soaring and the sense of community and unity and solidarity in moving forward with long-delayed justice was palpable.

What I learned was how important it is to listen. Dwell on the words, speak up when hateful words are spoken. This was one of the most inspirational events I have ever attended in my twenty years of living in the county.

Thank you to Nan Roberts, most especially, and Steph Ridder and Kit Golfarb and Kerry Sutten (and many others) for all the details in making it happen and bringing the most amazing collection of speakers together: all with different experiences and perspectives but with a common purpose of moving our county and country forward in peace and justice.
