Within just 18 weeks, students have the opportunity to learn the skills and technologies to fill the nearly 7,600 open software developer positions in the state of Virginia. LFCC Workforce Solutions Professional Development and Continuing Education is responding to the growing need for skilled software developers in the workforce with a fast-track solution. LFCC is filling the IT education gap by offering Front End Bootcamps powered by Promineo Tech, which start Aug. 17. 

Also, these are the primary reasons the application should be denied. It would set a dangerous precedent to approve an application based on a vision instead of proffers. That would set such a low bar that most anything could pass. Then goodbye rural Rappahannock!

Members of the Washington Town Council and Planning Commission toured the site for the proposed Rush River Commons development on July 7, a mixture of residential and commercial buildings that could be one of the first things people will see when driving into Washington.

Mr. Hobson’s response (“Change is the order of existence,” June 17) to plans for the highest-density real-estate development in Rappahannock County’s history is to say: “Nothing in the universe stays the same … change is the order of existence.” That statement, however, defies logic and is akin to surrendering to the forces of unchecked commercialism that surrounds our county, and now threatens to penetrate the county line.
