Held in a large tent under the stars, Rappahannock County High School Prom was a night to remember for the historic class of 2021. The students may have celebrated in small groups, but the energy and excitement were shared by all. The seniors enjoyed dancing at their tables, taking photos with friends, and winning raffled gift cards, which were generously donated by S.A.D.D.

Staff at the entrance to the Shenandoah National Park will resume checking identification for annual park passes starting today, Thursday, April 1. Annual passholders will need to show a form of identification matching their passes when they enter the park. 

Nearly a year into the coronavirus pandemic, the federal government is continuing to dispense monetary assistance for businesses hit by the economic downturn and widespread restrictions on their operations. But banks servicing Rappahannock County say the uptake has been slower this time than with the first round of assistance last April, when businesses flooded them with applications and overloaded their online systems.

The Christmas floats were a great idea for the county. They all enabled us to celebrate and laugh together and the children were gifted with the sights, sounds and candy of the holiday.
